On Tuesday 11th February Year 5 had a brilliant afternoon climbing and bouldering at Ingleton Climbing Wall.
Everyone learnt how to fasten their harnesses and clip themselves securely onto the ropes, and then, working as a team, it was then a race to the top! The children grew progressively confident getting higher and higher with each attempt. As well as climbing, the children had a go at bouldering and proved to be experts at scaling the walls without ropes! Everybody had a go, everybody helped each other, everybody tried their best and everybody encouraged each other - such a credit!
This is the first of 3 climbing experiences and the children are extremely thankful to the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust for providing them with such opportunities.
