The Last Bear

Children from Years 4 and 5 were lucky to have the opportunity to join a live author event with Hannah Gold. We found out about Hannah's life and inspiration for writing. After a really fun quiz we took part in a Q&A session. Hannah told the children not to put limits on their dreams. She said if you have a dream you never know how far it's going to take you and how long it will be before it comes true. Hannah Gold wrote The Last Bear, which Class 4 are reading as their class novel this term. The Last Bear is a fantastic story about a little girl and her father who go to live in the Arctic Circle. Covering the themes of friendship and climate change, this book is a must read for all lovers of animals and the environment. Many thanks to Waterstones for organising this event.
