Class 5 were extremely lucky to be joined recently by the Dales Countryside Museum to run a workshop based on our current learning about World War II. We had a super afternoon looking a range of historical artefacts and examing different items within evacuees suitcases. The children had so much fun playing WWII games, trying on items of clothing, reading letters sent too and from loved ones and learning all about what life was like for children during the war. We also spent some time talking about rationing and working out how much food our family would recieve in one week during the war. The Dales Museum have further loaned us a fantastic box of artefacts that we cannot wait to look at as we continue our learning in history. A brilliant afternoon in Class 5, well done for all your fantastic questions and answers!
