Class Two have been investigating how Bentham has changed over time- since the Victorian period to the current day. After studying the 1901 National Census, we set off on a walk through Bentham to find some of the houses it mentions! Mrs Horton very kindly let us have a look inside her house and we were amazed by the wonderful historic artefacts she has. From bed warmers and ink pots to servants and Corn Merchants, we learnt so much about life in the early 1900's.
