The whole school enjoyed a lovely Harvest Festival assembly this week.
Each class performed or presented something about Harvest in the assembly to the rest of the school. Class 1 decorated the word harvest with everything they know is linked to Harvest time. Class 2 presented some lovely fruit and vegetable artwork and sang us a Harvest song. Class 4 performed their catchy Harvest version of 'Shotgun' by George Ezra, and Class 5 shared their research into Harvest festival; what it entails, where is it celebrated, where it originated from and how we collected the harvest in the past compared to today, as well as sharing their artwork inspired by Giuseppe Arcimboldo. It was brilliant to see the children take the lead in this assembly and we look forward to more class lead assemblies over the next few months.
