On Wednesday 5th February our Reception and Year 1 children were invited to visit the Methodist Church in High Bentham.
This was perfect timing after visiting St John's C of E Church the week before! Reverend Stephen Caddy was kind enough to come and tell us about the similarities and differences between the Methodist Church and the Church of England. We then had a game of 'Spot the difference' whereby we compared the Methodist Church to the photos of St John's that we had taken the week before. Our favourite find was the tiny font along with the fact that there were no pews! We then learnt a song and performed it to members of the Church community who had come along for their coffee morning. After a drink and biscuit, we headed through to Godly Play where we enjoyed listening to our Bible teaching and engaging in the lovely activities on offer to respond to the teaching.
Thank you so much to Liz Whitfield for helping organise this visit and members of the Church community who came along to help too!
