Bewerley Park

Year 5 began the Summer Term with the most amazing week at Bewerley Park. We returned after the Easter break extremely excited for our adventure to Pateley Bridge and spent 3 days and 4 nights taking part in many wonderful outdoor activities.

We went canoeing to Glasshouses Dam, ghyll scrambaling to Blayshaw Ghyll, rock climbing to Brimham Rocks as well as enjoying a beautiful walk through Bluebell woods (trying wild garlic and making reed boats), cooking on a campfire and zipping our way off a 10m high zip line. Within all of that, we even made time to visit Nidderdale Swimming Pool and The Oldest Sweetshop in the World in the heart of Pateley itself.

It was absolutely wonderful to take away such a keen and enthusiatic bunch of children away on residential, they worked exceptionally as a team and the care and compasion they showed to eachother made their teachers incredibly proud! Since returning from Bewerley Park, the boys and girls in Year 5 have done nothing but talk about their fabulous time whilst away.

Please enjoy taking a little peek at what we got up to over the week!
